Maintenance and proper care of a pellet press are crucial during operation. Failure to perform regular maintenance can significantly shorten the equipment’s service life and give rise to various potential hazards in future use. Below, we’ll outline the key methods for maintaining a pellet press.
In the maintenance of pellet presses, lubrication and cooling of the rollers are critical and should not be overlooked. At the same time, clean the feed auger and conditioner to prevent mechanical malfunctions. It is advisable to use high‑quality die rings and compression rollers; avoid inferior dies with out-of-roundness or rough inner bores, and select the appropriate die compression ratio based on the formulation to ensure smooth material discharge, thereby preventing increased energy consumption and reduced production capacity.
